Day 1- Orientation at CAPA International Education, in Kensington, where we are taking classes for the next 6 weeks! We also had a police safety talk which was very interesting-apparently pepper spray/mace is illegal and can be up to 5 years in jail...lets just say a few American girls were throwing out some from their purse very quickly after the talk.

Of course we struggled a bit with the tube on the first day and walked into the meeting 25 minutes late, great first impression from the Clifton Garden Flat...

Getting adjusted to using the underground transportation, apparently people don't talk on the tube so we obviously stood out from the locals. Also, smiling at people is not normal here- big clue that we are from the states!

MOVE IN DAY- Wednesday 5.18.2011
Hello from London!! After a long flight in the dreaded middle seat, Kiley and I arrived at Heathrow airport and took a cab to our flat! London cabs are way cuter than the ones at home and we encountered our first english accent from the cab driver, I'm already obsessed! We unpacked and met our new roommates, Jenna and Juliana, along with Kristin and Caroline from school.
One of the 2 bedrooms, a bit small but it will do...
Our kitchen, Cburdelle already broke the washing machine so we are off to a great start

our lovely bathroom...
After unpacking we took a tour of the area we are living in and then our first tube ride to Oxford Circus and walked around some really cute shops. I can already tell Top Shop and I are going to get along very well... after some exploring we continued to avoid napping as almost everyone told us to never nap the first day, so we had an early dinner at a little cafe and took some tylenol pm and passed out!
